Humans are weird: Never prank a Human
Alien: So were you able to get back at the captain?
Alien 2: I don’t want to talk about it…..
Alien: What do you mean?
Alien: Last time you were here you told me that you found out that the human was afraid of “clowns” and had just ordered an outfit to wear and scare him with.
Alien 2: It did not go as planned.
Alien: What; did you not scare them?
Alien 2: Oh I did.
Alien 2: Waited in his quarters and then when he was just about to lay down in bed I jumped out and scared him before running out of the room.
Alien: Alright, mission complete.
Alien 2: I had just made it back to my quarters when the intercom activated and the captain spoke.
Alien 2: *Imitating human captain “All crew, all crew; we have a code clown, repeat, we have a code clown; this is not a drill.”
Alien: Wait, humans have a code for that?
Alien 2: Apparently.
Alien: But aren’t they silly humans wearing makeup and silly clothes.
Alien 2: Nope.
Alien 2: Turns out “Clowns” are intergalactic beings that feed on humans and try to lure them away from their packs with their bright outfits and silly faces.
Alien: Oh gods.
Alien 2: Next thing I knew bulkheads were sealing left and right and armed patrols were conducting a room by room search.
Alien: Shut the florp up.
Alien 2: I watched through my doors peephole as they dragged my next cabin neighbor out kicking and screaming as they found white face paint amongst their belongings.
Alien 2: After that everyone onboard was removed from their cabins and placed in the main hall before it was sealed off.
Alien 2: The captain came out with a row of armed guards on either side and demanded whoever was harboring the clown step forward at once.
Alien 2: When no one did the captain became angry and said he would begin interrogating people until he found the culprit. Any who were found guilty would be sent out the airlock.
Alien: This all seems rather unlike humans.
Alien 2: I thought so to.
Alien 2: Yet it seems to stem from their great fear of these clown like beings.
Alien: What happened next?
Alien 2: The captain led people one by one into another room before coming back for another person.
Alien: What happened to the first person they took?
Alien 2: They never came back….
Alien: Dear gods….
Alien 2: One by one the entire crew was hauled away until it was just me and the captain.
Alien 2: He asked me, *Imitating captain “Are you a clown?”
Alien 2: I said “No sir.”
Alien 2: They said “Have you helped a clown board my vessel an place us all in jeopardy?”
Alien 2: I said “No sir, I would never.”
Alien 2: He said “I know you’re a lying sack of froth shite and you’ve just dug your own grave. We searched your room and found the clown suit!”
Alien 2: I said “There must be some mistake!”
Alien 2: He replied “I don’t make mistakes boy; and now your time has come to pay for your crimes.”
Alien 2: A pair of guards came over and began dragging me to doorway I assumed was the airlock intent to shoot me out of it.
Alien 2: I kicked and screamed and begged but they threw me in and locked the door behind me.
Alien 2: I heard the countdown timer begin as the captain leaned in and laughed at me as I started banging away at the door.
Alien 2: The timer reached 0 and the opposite door flung open as I prepared myself to die.
Alien: Well I take it you didn’t die since you’re right here telling me this story.
Alien 2: I was greeted by a laughing throng of guests standing around on our destination planet.
Alien 2: It seemed we had landed the night before and the captain had failed to inform the rest of the guests.
Alien 2: He had known it was me in the clown suit and had pulled each guest aside to get them onboard with his revenge prank while making me believe they had been flung out an airlock.
Alien: Wow. That’s fucked up even by our standards.

the justice league had an undercover mission where a they try to track down a intergalactic intruder who is introducing alien drugs to humans, to do so some members attend a masquerade gala in pairs to find and interrogate a high society couple who have been in close proximity of the drug before and most probably got effected by it without their knowledge, but they aren't the safest people so they have to take some samples and and ask them questions about it without them getting suspicious, basically have to get them to trust you, so the justice league figured that someone who Is good a infiltration and interrogation should go! So they decide on batman with a bit of hesitation cause they don't know if he can act or not, batman realises this and tells them he will bring batwoman with him to make it look more believable
And so they go to the gala and and the justice league (some on coms and some actually there but just spying on them incase something bad happens) asks him how in the world would he get close to them, he simply replies "I am aware I have a flattering face and body, and I'm willing to use it" the justice league goes crazy after calming down just a bit (they didn't) they think "we should have realised batsy would be willing to do anything for a mission but GODAMN" and they expect batman to chat up the women and batwoman the man
Batman however approaches the man and batwoman the women
To their horror batwomen is flirting with the wife and the husband is now on top of batman
What the fuck is going on

Hrrrggg everything hurts. Thinking about the MegOP sparkling (I need names, but am thinking about naming her Stronghold) I’ve had rattling around in brain for the past month or so, so here goes, continuity soup because I said so. This is… a long one 😅
So we start with the usual pre war MegOP situation with Gladiator Megs and Archivist Orion, who go talk to the high council and yadah yadah, you know what happens next. (think TFP) OP gets the Matrix and Megatron is betrayed and starts up his intergalactic terrorist group (yippee!) When he finds out, Uh-Oh! He carrying and it’s Optimus’s… he freaks out pretty hard but WaveWave is there to support him during his pregnancy (Soundwaves a bit jealous about not being the one who’s currently carrying but is excited to see/raise a new spark). Eventually he has the baby and there are a few.. complications.
1. Sparklings are supposed to have strong bonds with their carrier and sire, but in Strongholds case, they have no sire bond with Optimus (the matrix prevented it), which causes her to have spark flutters (essentially heart problems) causing the little one lots of pain with no exception of expressing it but crying/being a fussy baby while she’s young. The only was they find this out is with Soundwaves telepathy, something they are VERY grateful for.
2. Megatron suffers from GREATLY from postpartum depression, and can’t even bear to look at his daughter. He can bring himself to feed her or try to establish any type of bond between the two and ends up hating her and what she stands for in his mind (having OP and trying to have a family with him)
This causes the young heiress to be raised by the deception high command with very little input on Megatrons behalf besides being an abusive mom and wanting her to be a warrior. She’s mainly being raised by Wavewave, the elite trine and Hook due to having to be in the med bay almost constantly in her sparkling hood. As a sparkling she showed major talent and interests in the arts, something that was supported by their caregivers, but almost gets beaten to death by Megatron finds out she wants to be an artist and not a warrior. (Megatron has “training” sessions with her, where she essentially gets beaten half to death but her carrier, who claims it’ll make her stronger. And when she’s finally able to beat him, she’ll be able to lead the decepticons) (this also leads to her hiding her passions) This is how she wins over Starscream and he decides to help raise/guide her (and who knows, maybe one day he or she will kill Megatron and he’ll be the leader of the decepticons) She’s raised to be a master spy (Soundwave) and interrogator/torturer (Shockwave and Starscream). Eventually though the war starts to pick up and everyone is headed to earth (think G1, but shockwave goes with the decepticons) leaving Stronghold alone on Cybertron with Rumble, Buzzsaw, Thundercraker, and the Constructicons to watch/take care of her; and her mentor Tarn (and the rest of the DJD) and a few other decepticons at about ~10 years old to Cybertronian standards. She finds herself forced to grow up and lead the Decepticons, being raised by the most ruthless and cunning bots has its advantages, and she ends up quickly taking out the Autobots on Cyberton leading the planet under Decepticon rule. However there was complications with the others (G1 style, went missing for a few billion years type-beat) She grows up a warlord, conquering Autobot territory’s and wiping them out, searching for her lost family comrades, with the Deceptions ruling the galaxy, (exterminating the Autobots and making allies with/converting Neutrals). She’s ends up creating a vast and powerful empire (Thundercraker, Hook and Tarn are very proud).
On earth is the normal G1 -> Earthspark timeline, expect I ignore everything that happens after s1. Soundwave manages to get a SOS comm into deep space, which gets intercepted to the Decepticon empire. This happens around/a little after her spark almost gave out, as her carrier/sparkling bond was broken with Megatron, which was assumed to be due to his death. This made her spark unstable, and made her even more vulnerable to her spark attacks (also her occasional maniac episodes go worse/more common) She leads a ship to Earth where she finds that not only is her carrier ALIVE, which means he LEFT her HE DOESNT WANT HER HE NEVER WANTED HER- but also joined the enemy. And started a new family, one without her This is also how she and Optimus find out they’re related, because honestly, Meg’s forgot all about her. (Also, megaton has more of a major role in the Terran’s lives, which leaves Stronghold seething, swearing to end them) ((You know when/how Megatrons calls Twitch “little bird”? THAT USED TO BE HER NICKNAME SHE USED TO BE HIS LITTLE BIRD WHEN HE WAS HAPPY WITH HER)) (think of when shockwave was racist towards the Terran’s) Stronghold finds out that the decepticons have been stranded on earth, and have been being tortured by Autobots and their human allies (GHOST). She stages a jailbreak for the others and begins to plan war with the others left on earth (she’s not leaving until Megatrons head is on a platter and she’s ripped the matrix out of OP’s chest). (They chill in the atmosphere like the Nemesis in prime) Needless to say, Shockwave Soundwave and Starscream are very surprised/proud to see her and her accomplishments (if not sad that she (now about 15) had to grow up so fast and what has happened to her)
There are a few ways this AU can end and there’ll prolly be a few alt timelines… 👀
Uhh anyways that’s it,,, I hope you like her and I will probably draw the creature soon
(Please please ask me about her and my silly little AU 🥺🥺🥺)

Lapis and the Narrative
I guess I'll elaborate on the theorizing I was doing wrt to Lapis, I need to start writing this shit down lmao
basically my idea is that, Lapis being aware of her place in the greater story is what drives a lot of her actions, and especially explains her martyrdom and savior tendencies towards Steven in specific. it also ties in very well with other themes about her character.
Lapis is aware of her place in the narrative. a lil meta, if you will, in a loose sort of way.
she understands that, on the whole, there is something larger always unfolding, and she is as much a part of it as anything else.
Tumblr media
now, this is something I genuinely believe she became aware of in her time flying back to and on Homeworld once she gets there. she experiences culture shock on a mass scale and a collapse of faith of the only society she knows and so badly wanted to return to, despite their previous treatment of her (aka, trapping her in the mirror, interrogating her, and essentially leaving her to rot on a doomed planet. something she squarely places the blame for on the crystal gems at the start mind you).
this culminates into new trauma, and the horrible, dawning realization that she has basically reignited an intergalactic war and placed the burden of it firmly on the shoulders of her newest best friend and savior, Steven Universe. no, she doesn't know about the pink diamond stuff at this point, but she fears for his safety all the same in the beginning before she really realizes the gravity of what she's done. he's a human(?) that she's now put in grave danger. great! she tries desperately to warn him of homeworld's impending approach. tells him flat out not to fight it and maybe they won't hurt him if he cooperates. then, she denies his help entirely as she feels guilty for putting him in this mess. and what a mess it is, because it doesn't end at Jailbreak.
And her singular selfish wish to go home caused this spiral, that Steven has to deal with the bulk of.
Tumblr media
because you see, once Lapis is introduced, her arc kicks off the rest of the series and the larger story at play. Lapis' journey as a character is, in part, realizing her place as the catalyst to what is to follow her actions and accepting her responsibility in the matter, and thus, her place narratively, figuratively, and literally.
so of course she feels guilty. of course she'd want to try and change the narrative, to insert herself to save Steven. she starts to understand her weight in the narrative, and it leads her to fighting to change it. everything from trapping Jasper, to denying Steven's aid at every turn and pushing him away. She tries in vain, at first, to fight it. and then, she stops.
Tumblr media
she stops entirely, for a while. too afraid to reassert control of her own story, of herself, because look what happened last time! it's exacerbated by her seeming lack of control over the story happening to her. control and the lack of is, according to Sugar, an important aspect of her character. and maybe, just maybe, if she just displaces herself, that will fix it. maybe, if she stops participating in the narrative, it will be okay. however, that isn't what happened.
and when it all comes to a head as the Diamonds approach Earth, no wonder she freaks the hell out and flies to the moon. the weight of the fact she couldn't do anything to prevent this from happening to Steven is too much in the end.
so, she fully disconnected herself from the story.
well, she tried to, at least.
Tumblr media
The Moon is her harsh lesson in acceptance. The final stage in the grieving process. Her last act, if you will. All in all, her journey almost seems to mimic the process of grief—Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression, and Acceptance. The time leading up to her leaving to the Moon is marked by Depression. Anger being the time she spent trapped with Jasper and the immediate span after. Bargaining during her time on the hand ship. Denial, at first, of Homeworld's dystopian ways and their changes. She's completing the process of grieving what she had, what she was, and what she valued. Of the world she now no longer recognizes as her home. Of her former place in the narrative. She can't stand idly by and be a side character in her own life anymore, and let down the people she loves.
This acceptance, at last, is what allows her to drop the Barn. So by the time she comes to do so on Blue Diamond's head, she is ready to accept her place in all aspects. And she does. It's why she says, more or less, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em ("If they're gonna punish me like a Crystal Gem, I might as well be one, right?")
Tumblr media
she can't fight her place in the narrative any longer, and she's come to accept Homeworld is not, and maybe even never was her home. She is taking control of her own story, and her life back. Watching her slam her former dictator on the head was satisfying, knowing that.
Tumblr media
on that note, her destroying the Barn via the drop is remarkable symbolism for her acceptance and thus final rejection of Homeworld. The Barn marks some of her darkest eras of grieving. It's where she banished herself to (or was banished to by the author, if anyone remembers the "put in the Barn" discourse around the show wrt characters not getting on screen development). Destroying it is her shedding that, more acceptance in the form of letting go of the thing that acted as safety for her until it didn't. until it no longer served her to do so, and was actively holding her back in some regard (maladaptive coping/survival mechanism, anyone?). and, to quote my friend @sevenines—"For the audience there’s a wish to keep places precious, keep a status quo (which is why i see a lot of ppl hc lapis and peridot rebuild the barn). but lapis breaking the barn is like a shock that breaks audience expectations. the crew explained they used the breaking of rose’s sword in this way, so i wouldn’t be surprised if the barn symbolized this too."
by the end, Lapis is ready to accept her fate in its totality. is she perfect in doing so? of course not, she still has mountains of trauma to fully unpack, and maybe she never will. that pain will always exist, that guilt will always be there.
however, she knows now that her way forward is, ultimately, her choice. and probably always has been. that her actions, though they will have consequences, aren't fully out of her hands.
it's the true freedom she longed for. the true "home" she wanted, but could never quite name in its entirety.
Tumblr media
Lapis always struck me as a character that, for being so lost in a worldly sense, is very aware of her role in the narrative and plays to that.
other little notes of what else this can tie to and explain:
- the fact that sometimes it feels like she has a bit of a Cassandra complex going on
- Her relative deadpan nature during her beginnings in the Barn
- makes the line I've felt worse hit harder. lapis has probably experienced a form of Ego Death, which Blue never had. she's gained the ability to truly see above and beyond herself, unlike Blue at this point in the story. it's not who was more depressed, or who has more trauma, it's a signal of Blue's old ways not phasing Lapis. it's a sign that she's more free than Blue could ever be. She isn't shackled by the injustices and prejudice of gem society any longer. She's stronger because she realized she had to change. Not because she's gone through worse. change is a core theme of SU, after all.
- the fact that Blue Diamond was intended to have a much more personal relationship with Lapis, as a member of her court (confirmed in the Answer when we see what I believe is her form before Regen from the mirror) makes this more interesting. The Barn drop was meant to be a cathartic moment for Lapis because it's implied she believes Blue more or less abandoned her. She's destroying the two biggest hindrances to her ultimate goal (freedom) with one Barn.
- Lapis' own design even reflects her lack of control. Rebecca has stated that her gem is on her back for that reason. everyone can see and know her, except herself. in that way, she is vulnerable, and lacks control over who or what might "see" her.
- elaborating more on Lapis' struggle, @sevenines says the following: "It’s interesting that her actions are like a chain of trying to go against what has happened to her and what she’s done. she holds jasper down to make up for endangering steven only to spend the rest of her time forcing herself to do nothing in a pseudo retirement out of guilt for what she’s done. endless attempts to fix her mistakes only to fear what she’s become to do it."
- With Jasper, she intends to erase them both from the narrative—Lapis dragging both herself and jasper down under the ocean is another way she tries to escape the narrative. her original goal was to keep them there forever. her one moment before she disappears entirely. Also, funnily enough, Steven himself acts a bit like a diegetic manifestation of the story. something that makes sense, because it IS his show, and story, it's from his POV and it's in the name.
anyway thanks for coming to my lapis ted talk have a nice day 🥰

Earth is a prison and a safehouse
When humanity entered the intergalactig stage it wasn't that great of a deal. They had average technology, an average culture and there were some some similar races known to the council already. Even though Terra was classified as a deathworld, nobody was to surprised about them.
The real difference to the known civilisations became aparrent, when human forces joined the first combined comabt trainings in preparation to implement them into the intergalactic peace corps. Their use of few energybased weaponry was expected for a joung race, but both sides were very confused when the topic of humanities division for psychic warfare arose. Immeadietly sienceteams were called and a summit to clear the issue was held. It became clear very fast the humans did not have the ability to develop psychic abilites, but also that they had a very high tollerance near to an immunity when attacked by those.
And now that is where I come in. I was part of a researchteam tasked with unravelling that unique part of human phisiollogy.
When we arrived a earth the first hint was the reaction of (for humanity) alien collegues and the humans themselves. While most humans are plagued by variing degrees of headeaches they seem te cease as soon as we reached the orbit of Terra. On the other hand me and my team suddenly felt hollow and drained, as somehow our psychic abilities were surpressed and one of us even fainted because, as he later told us, he was completely cut of his psychic mind. After this incident we decided to conduct our studies as fast as possible, because we all wanted to leave this place rather sooner than later. After some cruciating months we came to a, some say horrifying and some say reasuring, conclusion.
Terra itself is a prison and a safehouse.
Due to it's ironheavy core the planet nullifies most "magic" as humans started to call it. Also the human physiollogy also contains a lot of iron which explained their innate resistance and the varying degrees as some humans suffer from low iron. The point why we came to call it a prison is, that "magic" itself is a beatiful thing. It has many possibilites and influences the pre spaceage civilisations most, in making the general life a lot easier and being cut of from this seemed to us like humanity was robbed. On the other hand many came to envy humans for their resistance, because "magic" can also be dangerous and unreliable, as it is fuled by the fairy realm. The need to tap into that realm has the danger of losing oneself in their own mind, so every psychic user needs to go through a thorough training to prevent that.
After we released the data the United nations of Terra issued a strict immigration policy for their planet, to prevent a run on it from people trying to espace possible doom as not having to live in fear of having an undected affinity for "magic" is a very good tourism slogan.
I myself vowed to never go near the sol system ever again, but those plans were disrupted when I was once more called. But not to Terra, but its sisterplanet Mars. It is a military assingment to interrogate one the few psychics who have similar affinity as I do held prison there. If this planet is able to contain a mind that powerful we can only be happy that humanity originated from there, as it would probably have meant complete immunity to "magic".

For Kate Bishop, taking up residence at the new Avengers Compound made her feel like a kid in a candy store. She never had to worry about paying rent or cooking for herself (or cleaning up!), and to top it all off, Kate found herself with a nearly unlimited quantity of mind-boggling techy toys at her fingertips.
Battle drones, trick arrows, satellite reconnaissance... frankly it was enough to spoil a girl rotten.
But the battle simulations were what really caught Kate's eye. At it's full capacity, the tech could fill an entire room with holographic enemies and hazards to further train her skills – but even the "pocket-sized" version of the sim gear was impressive. Tony Stark had showed her personally how the small headset could simulate fully life-like encounters with various enemies or allies – anyone who had been pre-loaded into the simulation archive.
"Have fun," he winked. "Don't get too hooked."
Kate's gears were already turning by the time she got back to her dorm. She could use the tech to practice interrogations with Natasha Romanoff, or even to simulate a one-on-one encounter with intergalactic foes like Thanos... As she flipped through the options available on the headset, more and more ideas came to mind.
And then... her mind began to wander. She could summon *anyone* into her dorm room. Even someone like Yelena, or Wanda, for a bit of private time without the boundaries usually set by social decorum. It was late at night already and Kate began to feel herself getting excited as she scanned through the list of potential strings-free hook-ups that the simulation tech would make available to her.
Then one name caught her eye, one that she hadn't realized would have been preloaded into the augmented simulation gear, but she supposed it shouldn't be a complete surprise: it was herself. Kate Bishop.
Kate could literally hang out with herself.
Kate could literally do much more with herself, too. Many more things, she realized. A few otherwise previously-far-too-impossible interactions came swiftly to mind.
She didn't waste a second longer. With the swipe of a few buttons, she launched the simulation and another identical Kate Bishop appeared by her side. Oh what fun the two of her would have in store.

Helicopter parents at the Jedi Temple
"Rhogo can't take his intergalactic history exam at that time. We're going on three week vacation to Canto Bight."
"You told Hely that her blood was red when actually, it's blue." (It was, in fact, red.)
"My little Colo needs to be in a more advanced class. He's already mastered all of the lightsaber forms."
"I saw the grade you gave Mara in her Courage trial. Why did she fail the exam?"
"Brax can't take your class on learning how to resist mind probes and interrogation. It's against his religion."
"I don't want my son assigned to Mace Windu."
"I don't like the carpeting in here. The classroom should have thicker carpets in case Steffan hits his head."
(Jedi Voicemail at 3 AM): "This is Jona Johnson, Joyo's mom. I called you yesterday. Can you please call me back? We had some questions."
"We're frantically watching the holonet and hear that a war is about to break out between the Wookies and the Trandoshans. I know that Reni is a Jedi Knight but they need to come home now. I don't want them going anywhere near that mess."
"WHY ARE YOU TEACHING MY CHILD TO SUPPRESS HIS EMOTIONS"
"Why do you worship false idols at the Jedi temple? Those statues look demonic. I'm contacting Chancellor Palpatine."
"I'm somewhat of a botanist myself. Chane would love to work in your agricorp lab."
"My child can't understand anything that old green teacher is saying. His accent is too thick. He needs to be moved to a different teacher."
"How do I become a Jedi master here?"

It sorta bothers me that post-series people are still complaining about 3Below being disconnected from the rest of Tales of Arcadia. For me, it was a refreshing break from the densely-packed fantasy lore and an intriguing peek at the way the universe beyond Arcadia and Earth functions. I liked the character arcs and interpersonal connections. And there was ample room for me to come up with a bunch of my own headcanons, which I love! I absolutely love being able to slot pieces of my own mind and soul into an existing world! I don't like shows where I'm told how every little detail works, that's way too much to remember. Instead I want enough to create an idea of the rules and how things might have gone/might continue to go and fill in whatever else I want.
Also, I think 3Below was SUPPOSED to be a lot more connected before Wizards got cut down. Tons of ideas didn't make it into the limited series run- I remember hearing stuff about Mordred being involved, a lost Krel arc, and I'm sure a lot of lore that would have bound the worlds together more closely. When they mentioned Gaylen's core came from Earth, there was clearly supposed to be more to that, but it got cut out. I'm like 93% sure Gaylen was a being who was part of or similar to the Arcane Order, but was drawn to the cosmos rather than to a part of the Earth. That would indicate that Akiridion tech and magic are compatible because Akiridions' energy-based life was initially magical, but those roots were largely forgotten because of how old a civilization Akiridion is. They've been spacefaring since humans were cavepeople. If the Order existed from the primeval dawn of the world, and Gaylen left not long after that, Akiridion could be millenia ahead of Earth. Or, heck, maybe Earth was the first or only livable world, and Gaylen created the Order to look after it before going off to try to find or create life elsewhere. I always headcanoned that Seklos was more powerful than most Akiridions or even the Royals that came after her, given the fact her core alone was enough to stop Gaylen while in the modern era it requires two royal cores. Maybe she was created by Gaylen to be Akiridion's version of an Arcane Order type being, and she created normal Akiridions, which she then had kids with, diluting her power in the Royals that followed. There's so much ancient history to unpack from just the tidbits we were given.
As for the modern era, there seems to very distinctly be a major intergalactic connection. The drunk ship operator in episode 3 of 3b s1 that the Zerons interrogate talks about ship classifications, which indicates a universal or at least an interplanetary system of ship ratings. We also see interplanetary tourism, and signs that Akiridion is one of the most advanced and influential planets out there.
3Below doesn't need to continue the plot of Trollhunters to be a valid part of Tales of Arcadia. It brought an energy to ToA that was somewhere between Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5, and I love how it expands the weirdness of Arcadia. If it was supposed to be a continuation of Trollhunters, they would have made more Trollhunters. But it's not Trollhunters, it's 3Below. And Wizards isn't Trollhunters either! I honestly think that Camelot, Douxie, and the world of wizards could have been written such that the Trollhunters cast was much less focal, and that if they'd given the show the time it needed and deserved to tell its story, it would have been fleshed-out and fascinating all on its own, with or without the TH gang. Where are the magic users beyond the reach of Camelot? Are there merfolk, sirens, harpies, dryads, more dragons, or other sapient races living on Earth with their own civilizations and magic and cultures? There are so many worlds and so many potential stories out there, on Earth and beyond, in the Tales of Arcadia universe. Arcadia just happens to be the narrative meshing point of them all. And I think that's a really cool way to build a universe.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk, here's more Akiridion development as a treat for making it this far.

The Captain and the Rebel / M / 60K / Dramione / Sci-fi
“I see you in my dreams,” she said the words like they were a song. “In the moments before I wake. I see castles and spaceships and pastures. And every time, I see you. I wondered how long it would be until we met this time.”
In the year 3486, Draco Malfoy is a loyal, tired Captain of the Intergalactic Sovereignty. But when he’s tasked with interrogating the illustrious rebel Hermione Granger, he’ll slowly find his world upended as she weaves a love story that spans a thousand years and countless solar systems.
Now Complete!

Joker is a possessive and showy bitch he would de-lead those walls whenever supes is in town and purposely do shit for more “interrogations”. Then just randomly stare at the de-leaded wall hoping he just made eye contact with Superman (if he’s watching) as Batman rearranges his guts brutal style.
SCREAMS
he is ARCHING his back and MOANING. he is TOSSING HIS HAIR. putting on a whole damn PERFORMANCE
Batsy lets him get on with it then murmurs at the end, in Joker's ear - "You know Superman is on an intergalactic mission, right?"

Once Upon A Time I Used To Know A Girl
Chapter 2
Tumblr media
Carol Danvers x Reader
Masterlist | This work's masterlist | AO3
Summary: Kamala helps you as you begin your journey to recovery.
Angst, Slow Burn, Amnesia.
Word count: 792
Like A Summer Day, She Could Push The Night So Far Away
Kamala walks you into the living quarters and you stop by the kitchen to rummage inside the fridge, she takes the opportunity to pop by Fury’s office and persuade him to let her go through with her half thought out plan.
After you finish eating the girl takes you upstairs and pauses in front of one of the many identical doors, "This will be your room while you, uh-"
"While my brain gets fixed, got it." You decide you might as well just go with it. You walk inside and try to get comfortable, Kamala says her goodbyes and tells you she’ll be back tomorrow.
Later that night Kamala calls Carol after not finding her anywhere in the compound, she tells her the plan and The Captain reluctantly agrees, still overwhelmed with guilt and heartbreak, on one condition: She cannot tell you about your relationship with Carol.
For the remainder of the week you stay on strict bed rest on doctor's orders. Kamala comes by every day and talks to you about current events and pop culture which, even before the injury, you weren't very good at keeping up with. She makes sure you eat and drink enough liquids and even tries to sneak in little details about your former life to see if you'll remember.
It is the first day after your mandated bed rest is over and Kamala comes back as promised, "How are you liking your room?"
"It’s fine."
"They'll bring all your stuff back from your former residence soon."
"Where was that?"
"You were doing a lot of intergalactic work so you were living in a spaceship," she says, trying to find the most objective way to describe it.
"That sounds awful."
"Well, according to your most recent reports you were really enjoying it."
"You have my reports? Can I read them?"
"They are being held in hopes they might contain information about the ambush." Her words are only half true as you weren't exactly subtle when writing about Carol.
The girl walks you to a conference room to have some privacy and hopefully get started on your recovery. She pulls out her S.A.B.E.R. tablet, "Do you know where we are?"
"The Avengers compound," you answer plainly.
"What do you know about them?" She starts making annotations.
"The Avengers? They're a bunch of stuck up assholes with a hero complex who think they're so special because they can shoot lasers out of some part of their body."
"Right," Kamala exhales heavily, "Do you remember any of them?"
"Uh, let's see, there's Stark, paying his way to the top, there's grandpa America-"
"Captain America," she writes down.
"Big green guy,"
"The hulk."
"Red witchy witch,"
"Scarlet Witch."
"The guy with the arrows, how did he even get in?"
"Hawkeye."
"Oh and tiny bug-man."
"Ant-man. Anyone else?"
"I think that's about it."
"I don't suppose you'd be willing to talk to any of them, see if they can help bring some memories back?"
"You suppose right."
"What about someone else? S.H.I.E.L.D.? Defenders?" she starts to wonder out loud.
"Defenders? Jones?" You let out a small chuckle.
"Yes! Do you know her?" Her eyes light up.
"No," you let her down, "but even if I did, she doesn't seem like the kind of person who likes to talk."
"I guess you're right." She begins to mindlessly scroll through her clear tablet hoping to find an answer when you see a familiar face.
"Rambeau. I'll talk to her if she's around."
She opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out, "Captain Rambeau is unavailable at the moment," she says, carefully choosing her words.
"I can wait," you respond, really trying to be helpful.
"Indefinitely." Her harsh tone tells you this is a conversation for another day.
After a moment she continues with the interrogation, "What's the last thing you remember?"
"Paris," you answer with certainty. Kamala searches on the device, "You're scrolling back an alarming amount, how long ago was Paris?"
"Many years ago," she responds in a quiet voice, a feeling of discouragement taking over you. She begins to read aloud, "Let's see, Paris. Mission to retrieve stolen files. Success. Black Widow." She looks at you when she gets to the last part.
"Yelena," you say, almost like an afterthought.
She gives you a perplexed look, "Natasha."
You accept her correction, "Romanoff."
"You remember her?" You nod in response, "Will you talk to her?" she follows expectantly.
"Absolutely not." Kamala scoffs, "I barely knew her, that's the only mission I ever went on with her. I didn't even live here with them, I had my own home in Louisiana." Your last words peak her interest and she discreetly writes them down.
Tell me all your thoughts!

@iconaclysm ∗ as plotted.
Tumblr media
THE COUNCIL REFUSED TO LISTEN ... that's of little surprise to shepard. he's no fan of politicking, never been, and he hardly enjoys spending his time entertaining men like ambassador donnel udina. their different of volatile and angry don't clash. ( shepard's is too dirty, too often mired in blood and in mess that men like udina don't mind so long as it facilitates their work, from far-off as possible; udina, clean and sophisticated and un-shepard-like as he carries himself, has learnt to bite in other, endlessly irritating ways — muzzled by layers and layers of bureaucratic red tape as he is. ) back in the embassy, shepard couldn't yet imagine a person more grating than udina ... but that had changed, very swiftly.
it's the same everywhere, be it lowly street gangs or army or the upper echelons of intergalactic politics: men — and asari in the case of the council — of power looking after their own. the peace of anyone else, even the entire galaxy, be damned.
alenko gave him solid enough advice when they were still on the normandy. follow standard operational procedure; salute anything you can't eat or kill ... but theory is one thing, and application another entirely. no amount of coaching would have dampened the rage that swells in the wake of the council's dismissal.
the measured look on captain anderson's face, angled intentionally in shepard's direction as he and udina take their leave, says ' don't take it personal, kid. ' anderson certainly didn't, even under udina's verbal battering and even as the captain was forced out of the investigation. but shepard isn't anderson — a task that requires far too much self-restraint than shepard has in his arsenal — and anderson doesn't have the anguish of the prothean dead crawling beneath his skin. hissing in his ears, buzzing like static, their warning simmering in his blood and churning an odd unease in his stomach. he couldn't make much of it until he had stepped into the tower and turned his eyes up towards the council and their most prized agent.
( the voices have been crying for blood, shepard thought then. blood that has to be spilt, and soon, to clot the fracturing dam ... before the destruction he glimpsed spills through and sweeps across the galaxy. )
the holographic interference did a poor job in veiling the smugness in saren's words and the hostility that set his jaw. unfortunately for anderson, the matter was already personal from the moment human's eyes met spectre's.
( saren arterius' would do. the next time they meet. )
... but shepard's getting ahead of himself. unearthing evidence is their first step.
williams and alenko have gone on ahead; he spots them near the entrance to the tower, lingering together by the fountain and no doubt striking up invigorating conversation about the scenery. that's fine. shepard needs a minute to gather his thoughts, anyway — and to press away the buzzing of memories distinctly not his own. he pinches the bridge of his nose, shutting his eyes tight and running through names in his head. harkin. garrus vakarian. barla von, shadow broker.
Tumblr media
" — if you've got something to say, say it. " ... the ache growing in his temples and the thought of where to go next and who to interrogate don't distract him enough that he can't hear the footsteps approaching behind him, quiet and steady.
he doesn't turn to face his approacher, not immediately. he's in no mood for entertaining any more ambassadors, or to recount more of his wild imaginings for sceptical councillors to turn their noses up at.

sorry for the excess asks, but something i noticed while rewatching ISWM, man Allu is a dang coward. She shoots mark repeatedly, but then points the gun at the captain, and doesn't even try to shoot when the captain uses the crystal-
There are two paths after the "interrogation" scene with Bandit that lead to Lady shooting you dead
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Its a very stupid move to shoot either the head engineer OR the captain, considering you cant get info out of dead ppl, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The more I went over Lady's scenes (after rearranging them to be linear from her perspective) the more that character drives me insane. Like, Lady ticked me off during my first full route cuz the whole waving a gun around and not explaining anything and telling me its my fault, but man she really-
I gotta stop myself or else I'll write an essay sbskssbsbs
She's a better character in my fic- less annoying (no longer repeats every single sentence 2-3 times), there's a reason for her incompetence, and she has interactions with other characters beyond saying what did you do or where is the ship or how did you get here or blah blah blah. We get a glimpse into how the USA and other intergalactic government bodies work, space pirate/bandit culture, and overall just a bigger sense of world from interaction with her.

Hand in Hand (part eleven)
cw: aftermath of whump, hospital setting, adult language
prev // au masterlist // next
~ ~ ~
Fleet soldiers come to collect him with weapons drawn and cuffs to replace his chains. They lift him from the bed and strap him to a stretcher, tight enough that he can barely move. Dan doesn't fight it.
They'll take him aboard and throw him in the brig. Probably interrogate him, probably transfer him to a place he has no hope of escaping once they're done. He doesn't care. Whatever they do to him, it can't be worse than Swift's ruthlessness and cold manipulation. Unlike her, the Fleet has rules.
He isn't so naive as to believe they actually follow those rules, but being an intergalactic organization puts them under a certain level of public scrutiny. And even if the Fleet-aligned public hate Dan, they won't be bold enough to condone his torture. He isn't safe, but he's safer. Wes is safer.
Maybe he can cut a deal with them. Comply and give them anything they want, in exchange for his friend's freedom. Something he'll never know again, but again, he doesn't care. He took his last breath of free air months ago.
He just has to hope they get to Wes in time.
The soldiers lift the stretcher, and he winces as the movement jostles his leg. He's barely left the bed at all since Swift dragged him away from Wes, and the few times he's been pulled from it have been agonizing. He's sure his leg is getting worse, not better. Is it bad enough now that it won't get better at all?
He can't linger on it. There's bigger things to worry about.
Like Wes.
Dan tries to get a look around as they carry him onto the ship and secure the stretcher, but he can barely lift his head.
"Where... where's my friend-- th-the other prisoner? Is he alive?"
He doesn't get a response. Fuck, he can't just not know. He needs to know that they have him, that they won't leave him behind.
"Please, give me an answer," he says, straining against the straps that hold him. "Just tell me you aren't leaving him, please."
"Shit, am I supposed to tell him something?" the soldier who speaks is talking to her teammate, not Dan, but he still picks up her whisper.
"Maybe it's best if we sedate him for the flight. I mean, it's Melchior."
Sedate him? No, they can't. Not until he knows Wes is okay. Not until he sees him being brought onboard. If they can't even promise him that, what does that mean? Is he dead?
"Don't, please, I just wanna know--"
But the soldiers only ignore him as one of them preps a needle.
And as much as he tries to fight it, Dan can't escape the drug as it pulls him under.
~ ~ ~
He wakes to fluorescent light and a low ceiling, metal ringing his left wrist, connecting him to a hospital bed.
A ship. He's on a Fleet ship.
His leg has been heavily bandaged, and he can't feel it. They must've numbed the pain there somehow. For a moment, Dan just stares at the blanket, at his own hands. He isn't free. But isn't Swift. It isn't---
Realization hits him like a bullet and he shoots up, his head spinning and woozy as he looks around the room. Wes. Where...
It doesn't take long to spot him. The med bay is small, and there's only one other bed. Wes lies in it, asleep or unconscious. His skin looks even paler in this light, his many wounds a sharp contrast. He's hooked up to an IV bag. Dan is too, he realizes.
Wes looks awful, looks like he's in so much pain, but he's out. He's here, he's alive.
"Wes," Dan croaks, though he doubts his friend can hear him. Tears are building in his eyes, but for once they're falling in relief. Whatever comes next, whatever sentence he has to take from the Fleet, Swift can't touch them anymore. She can't hurt Wes anymore.
And he'll die before anyone else gets the chance to.

Starlit 3
Tumblr media
“You’ve made quite the entrance Miss
Jazmín?,” Suback motioned for a chair as the
automatic doors slid open allowing for the
woman to enter whilst one of his men stood as
commanded to watch and care for Nobu outside
the door. The woman glanced over at where Jey
was standing stiffly against a wall by the door
they’d entered,”yes that’s my name though he
looks like he is the one who should sit.” Jey’s
brows shot up at her quip at his posture, he’d
been a bit worn down from his recent venture.
Suback ran a hand over his salt and pepper
curls,”I’ll be honest with you, I think you’ve
started something serious around here.” The
woman moved to sit down with a straight
posture,”I can only hope, rest assured General I
am not here to physically stir the pot so if this
is a casual interrogation on my intent of visit do
not waste either of our times.”
“You should pay him a bit more respect,” one
of the other soldiers said defiantly with a raised
chin despite Jey sending him a glare and
shaking his head at the lower ranked soldier. “Ah
so you must believe I am seeking respect,
you’ve been mistaken, respect is earned and
none of these despots have deserved an ounce
of my respect yet alone forgiveness.” The man
feeling embolden glared at her,” what happened
isn’t our faults, and besides your people are
gone shouldn’t it be your interest in survival and
making peace with other nations?”
“That’s enough!,private you are dismissed get
out of my cabin and report to back end docks
for servicing duty!” Suback roared and the man
saluted and disappeared out of the room. “My
you’ve got a out of touch group General, I think
it would behoove you to get them in check,”
Jazmín sipped her hibiscus passion fruit tea.
Suback shook his head in distaste,” he will be
dealt with privately I do apologize for his
ignorance.” “Why are you here?,” Jey asked
plainly moving to sit by Suback eyeing the
woman with more evident interest. “Oh so
you do speak and do more than stare, I was
beginning to think you were inept captain,” she
says setting her cup down. Jey’s cheeks
warmed at her directness but he rephrased his
remark,” I think we are more interested in your
intent, this is a matter of intergalactic interest
and you’ve come to the council’s station.”
“First I will make it plain that I owe none of
you an answer, my strife is from the people who
prospected and colluded to murder and steal
from my planet.” Jazmín focused on Suback
who sat straightened up on her admittance,”I
don’t know if I’m honest miss that we have the
means to help you.” The woman snorted,”of
course you don’t, repentance for the greed
would mean the distraction of modern societies
and I could care less to wait for the impossible.” Jazmín stirred the tip of her finger into the cup,”
Retribution for the genocide of life on my planet
does not have a set price but I will get my due
diligence, I am the last of Couretti and Coure
blood solely flows in my veins alone, I am
responsible for what is left of my planet.” “I
want the galaxy to know that my planet was
not vanquished and I am a living testament to
that, I want representation at the major council
meetings and a place along any leadership
board.” Jazmín shrugs,” when the public finds
out of my existence and more importantly the
possibility of other planets and people like mine
being erased by those in power change will
come.
Twirling the end of one of her curls she
shrugs,”rebellions happen all the time General
you know this to be true.” Suback raised a
brow,”what are you suggesting, I’m a general to
the council of this republic.” Jazmín hummed,”
sure but you were not ordered to hold an
audience with me, if you were going to assault
me or illegally shut me down you would’ve
already.” The woman continues on,” you
seem to be one of few male species around
here with some sort of moral compass and I
do suggest you open your eyes to the truth
before you find yourself on the wrong side
General.” Jazmín peered over at Jey who was
scanning over her undisclosed background in
the database,”you won’t find me in a system
that doesn’t know I exist, and frankly I’m not
asking for what’s mine I will be successful in
the end, I’ve invoked ancient law at that council
meeting Captain, I will have a seat now without
discussion.” Setting her empty cup down
Jazmín stood brushing herself off,”do make the
right decisions, I’m sure I will see either of you
around here, don’t be a stranger, though by
your curiousity Captain I’m sure you will be
stalking my identity closely, good day men.”
As soon as she left the room Suback leaned
back in his chair eyeing his wife’s photo sat in
it’s normal spot on his desk,”things have gotten
interesting.” Jey finally unclenched his jaw,”I
don’t like her,” Suback chuckled,” let’s be honest
around each other captain I know you better
than that.” The older man shrugged,”she’s
got a strong sense of justice and I don’t detect
any reason to see her of any threat.” Jey cleared
his throat,” sir, she just called green light on
questioning some of the galaxies greatest
leaders, she’s openly called them liars, her
presence as proof, who’s to say they don’t
just dispose of the risk before it presents
itself.” Suback smiled at that,”because I’m
assigning you a new mission Captain.” “Sir?,”
Jey furrowed his brows in confusion. “You will
be accompanying our new guest throughout
her stay as her personal security and you will
report back everything to me, that’s an order.” Jey gaped,” I hardly think she needs security
this woman brought a staff to a council
meeting.” “That’s an order Captain, now I
suggest you get on your way before she gets
too far, our new guest has surely made some
new enemies, and Captain this is a secret
mission, uphold all details in strict
confidentiality, nothing goes beyond myself
and you.” “Understood,” is all Jey muttered
standing and walking out of the quarters
ignoring the eyes of other workers passing by
the officials hallways spotting the known
Captain moving in haste.
